Channels & connectors

Connecting a channel

What a channel is, the connector types available, and how a channel attaches to a feed.

A channel is a reusable connection to an external system: a file location, an API, a database, or a specific platform like Shopify. You configure a channel once (type, credentials, format) and then attach it to any number of feeds.

Connector types

Built-in connector types include CSV, JSON, XML, TSV/pipe-delimited, a generic REST API, webhook push, HTTP(S) URL fetch, SFTP, FTPS, Shopify, Amazon flat file, MySQL/Postgres/SQLite, Google Sheets, Google Drive, BigQuery, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Pimcore, plus a feed-to-feed connector for chaining one feed's output into another feed's input. Marketplace, advertising, and comparison-shopping presets (Google Merchant Center, Amazon, eBay, Meta, and dozens more) are pre-configured wrappers around these base types with vendor-specific naming and guidance.

Browse the full integration catalog for setup requirements and field guidance specific to each one.

Creating a channel

From the Channels page, choose a connector type and fill in its configuration — credentials, file path or URL, delimiter, and so on, depending on the type. You can test a channel's connection before saving it and before attaching it to a feed.

Attaching a channel to a feed

A channel does nothing on its own — it has to be attached to a feed with a direction, either in or out. The same channel can be attached to multiple feeds, and a feed can have several input and output channels attached at once. See input vs. output channels for how direction changes behavior.
