Product feed checker

See which products Google Merchant Center will reject before you submit, and whether your feed meets ChatGPT's product feed requirements. Every problem comes with the fix.

or upload a file

CSV, TSV (Google .txt), XML (RSS or Atom) or JSON, up to 25 MB. We check the first 50,000 products.

What the checker looks for

Every product is checked against the attributes Google requires for Shopping ads and free listings, Google's formatting rules, and the fields OpenAI requires for products shown in ChatGPT.

Frequently asked questions

Is the feed checker free?

Yes. You can check a feed without creating an account.

Which files can I check?

Delimited text (CSV, or Google's tab-separated .txt and .tsv), XML in RSS 2.0 or Atom with the Google g: namespace, and JSON. Files and URLs can be up to 25 MB, and the checker validates the first 50,000 products.

Does it find every Merchant Center disapproval?

No. It checks what is in the feed file: required attributes, formats, identifiers and placeholder values. Merchant Center also crawls your product pages (for price and availability mismatches), checks images and applies its policies, which a file check cannot see.

What happens to my feed?

The feed is read once to build the report and the products are not stored. The report keeps only issue counts and up to five example product ids per issue, at a private link, for 30 days.

How do I fix the issues?

Fix them in your store or feed plugin and check again, or import the feed into Product Feed Master, fix the values with rules, and publish a corrected feed URL that Merchant Center fetches on a schedule.
